El Día del Libro tradition is firmly entrenched in "Zaliakalnio” High School. A range of  activities to promote reading and the the culture were held during the week. The goal of World Book and Copyright Day in "Zaliakalnio” is to discover the pleasure of reading and to get a chance to get acquainted with the books and their authors. This year Miguel de Cervantes and Mark Twain have been chosen by pupils as a World Book Day authors.
